@robin @Edent Saying "GOOGLE" is a very serious problem for the Web implies quite strongly that the problem is the existance of Google. And yeah, that would surprise (at least one) person who didn't put you last on their ballot.

@cdub @Edent I appreciate that you didn't put me last; I hope you put someone else first though! I didn't mean to imply existence; only behaviour. I have zero problems with G's existence, plenty of nice folks there and a handful of decent products I use. I'm not a big fan of big corporations in general, but if they behave OK then I have more pressing problems.

@cdub this seems like one of those unnecessary (and tedious) conflicts that take the form: 's what I'm going to interpret you to have said (since there's nothing about your word choice to stop me from outwardly feigning it as a genuine/plausible reading), even though is the thing that you were actually saying (and which, to be clear, I already know—but I'm going to force you to account for the adversarial interpretation anyway). cf @robin
