Who else is going to do it? Sometimes we need care, especially in our old age. There's no shame in working to be someone your children admire, so you can get that care. If you had any, I mean.

@cy It's the 'obligation' I wouldn't want them to have. Choice is different. As I don't have children, I would expect that I would end up in elderly or nursing care, assuming I don't pass my dying breath while driving a tractor on a small holding while collecting coppiced firewood while aged 102! @Susan60 @naturepunk
