@KatyElphinstone 3/ I have some more thoughts. Schools seem to find it difficult to work with autistic children, and there seems to be a lack of training for teachers in this area. For example our grandson found going into the canteen difficult. My wife found that it was the smells that was the problem and giving him a scented lip balm to rub on his upper lip was the solution that worked. Listening and analysing the problem was all that was needed, but staff were too time stretched
