@MamaLake I have a problem with mutual aid requests that I will fully accept is just a problem on my part. Personally, I have trouble asking for things if they're something I could achieve by doing work of some description. As such, there's a huge chunk of my brain that distrusts mutual aid requests on the basis of "it's gauche to ask for money".
Promotion of a small business, however, is someone acting on their own gumption to achieve something.
Basically, having been socialised in a capitalist hellscape, a big part of my brain doesn't like to tolerate begging for financial help.
As I said, entirely a problem in my head.

@DJDarren @samsteiner interesting, because if we don't support people in their small businesses, if we ignore their promotions of their goods, we are standing by and watching them need mutual aid as their businesses fail. And by fail, I mean they aren't able to make money on products they can no longer advertise. For me, I believe people ought to have their needs met, without making people jump through increasingly ableist hoops.
