@klyx @oscarfalcon @paulfoerster @samsteiner I don't know about you all, but not many users are supporting their instance or the development of fedi softwares financially. I don't know how this could be changed. I also don't do it, but therefore I don't feel I have the right to oppose ads, even if I also don't like them.

@kleisli @klyx @oscarfalcon @paulfoerster how that could be changed? Well, but taking your 3 minutes of time and setting up support for your instance would be my suggestion. But here I'm not really talking about paid ads. But self-employed people who have to use the internet to become visible, get seen by potential clients: do we feel they should all go and pay the big guys or would we welcome them (myself included) here?
