@kleisli @klyx @oscarfalcon @paulfoerster how that could be changed? Well, but taking your 3 minutes of time and setting up support for your instance would be my suggestion.
But here I'm not really talking about paid ads. But self-employed people who have to use the internet to become visible, get seen by potential clients: do we feel they should all go and pay the big guys or would we welcome them (myself included) here?

@kleisli @klyx @oscarfalcon @paulfoerster as someone who runs an instance here https://swiss.social I feel in the Fediverse it should be normal to set up a small amount per month... the more normal that gets, the lower that amount can be. But it should be obvious that without selling your data and without paid ads, someone has to pay for the infrastructure.
