@compfu but from what I understand we're not losing the media files, they will be migrated as well. Other servers will have broken links but we will still have access to our own media files. But yeah if you *really* care about it I'd suggest a backup.

@mauro Now that we have migrated, I think the media URLs have been updated in some way. I've just checked a random post of mine that had an image via another instance. And the image shows up with a URL that no longer points to the mastohost CDN... pretty cool. https://mastodon.social/@compfu@mograph.social/112917070301181020
