I thought I would write with another health update. Thanks to everyone who has wished me well recently. It has been a difficult time. The real challenge that I face is handling an acute problem like this serious dog bite on top of chronic conditions, specifically end-stage renal failure with dialysis and rheumatoid arthritis. As just an example, this has forced my dialysis to come off overnight and into three hour sessions, which means that some days I work all day, then just have ... 🧵1/8

... to set up haemodialysis, do my hemodialysis, pack up and clear up the machine and go to bed. I am fortunate that I am able to do this at home at all, but losing the nocturnal temporarily is a setback. Furthermore, because it is a wound causing the acute problem, I have had to come off the blood thinners that my extracorporeal hemodialysis circuit usually uses. @mpe Hi, Marrtin. All of this just sounds unbearable. Yet you bear it with such grace. I don't usually reply to your health updates because, well, what is there to say? But I do want you to know I read them all, and feel for you.
