Fav: https://glyphs.djr.com/characters/u+0051/ One thing I’d consider if you don’t mind me suggesting: could two-finger panning not generate the hover states? Sometimes I think of panning as a separate modality to keyboard and mouse – right now it’s a bit distracting that something gets highlighted just because your pointer ends up on top. And it could still do that whenever you move your mouse since that indicates different intent?
