@navi Isn't "sideloading" on Unix the same as "compiling and installing from source". I remember building stuff before package managers. All those dependencies were a PITA.

@mvilain@sfba.social no, originally sideloading meant installing an android app via `adb sideload` from a computer but google is now trying to overextend the term to mean any kind of installing apks from outside the google play store, in an attempt to make their actions preventing users from doing that seem less bad
