Oh, but you used to be able to hot-wire cars. Yes... and why can't you now? Same reason. I speak as someone who has sold... thinks... 2 iPads, 6 iPhones, and 7 Macs (some very recently) to new owners who all have them now locked to their own accounts. Bitching about them lowering theft (it worked exceptionally well for iPhones) isn't sensible. Bitch about them not educating users. Oh... except most users don't want educating. 🤷🏻‍♂️
