@blinry @postmarketOS I am curious, does the Linux smartphone function like more like a phone or computer. From my understanding, Standard PC linux primarily system interactions are through the console rather than through GUI. Does a linux phone operate the same way?

@JWShost @blinry @postmarketOS Really depends on the UI that is used. The most popular (Phosh, Plasma Mobile, GNOME Mobile, etc.) all follow the general premise of having everything you expect out of a normal smartphone be GUI, and then anything more complex usually is console-only. That isn't a hard and fast rule though. Usually people are happy to add configuration for something that used to require commands.

@JWShost While my Linux machines largely have a GUI to arrange a bunch of console windows, it's very much possible to never see a console on linux if you're a normal user. Most installs (not counting NOC machines) are gui-first. @blinry @postmarketOS
