I'd wanted to make and photograph the kite in real life (I've still got that vinyl banner in a box along with SFD t-shirts, tablecloths, signs, and other bits and bobs), but alas it's been a hectic month and a scribbly painting is all I could really manage.
Still, it's been very nice to reflect on and celebrate all this stuff.

I originally painted the final panel of this comic as a submission to this challenge: https://digitalfreedoms.org/en/sfd/blog/sfd-mascot-huion-challenge-2025 Make an original piece of art using #FOSS tools to create a mascot for #SoftwareFreedomDay. There are some Huion drawing tablets up for grabs, and the submission deadline has been extended to November 9th. Note: If your submission's over 150kb, upload it somewhere and link to it so it doesn't get stuck in the mailing list's moderation queue like mine did :D
