@babe That's a good idea. Sadly, most of my parking is on the street/in a driveway away from the house , so a charger isn't always feasible. I've changed batteries in the entire fleet this spring: two cars and one motorcycle. Not only ouch$$$, but damn those things seem to be getting heavier. 😂
I wish I still had my manual-shift '87 Toyota Tercel. I should never have gotten rid of it.

@ColesStreetPothole I'm obviously grateful to have the car I've got, it was an amazing gift and I've come to really love it, but I do still miss the simplicity of the old banger in a lot of ways. Never having to worry if it got dinged or vandalised because you'd hardly notice given the paint and bodywork from the previous owner. Parts and tyres cost fuck all and I could mostly fix it myself.
