I invested in a decent battery charger last year after the lumpy issue arose so I'd stop doing small runs to keep it from dying.
The battery died in this once and good lord I do not want to go through that again. Expensive and a nightmare to swap out.
Some elements of the old civic I miss. Like being able to fix most things with a hammer or a slapdash approach

@babe That's a good idea. Sadly, most of my parking is on the street/in a driveway away from the house , so a charger isn't always feasible. I've changed batteries in the entire fleet this spring: two cars and one motorcycle. Not only ouch$$$, but damn those things seem to be getting heavier. 😂 I wish I still had my manual-shift '87 Toyota Tercel. I should never have gotten rid of it.
