Sitting is fine, I just need to stick a charger on it occasionally. It's the short journeys that lead to soot build up that can really throw a spanner in the works. Everything from running lumpy to faulty acceleration.
Basically this entire part of the country is connected by the M4 though so that'll do it a lot of good

@babe I let my diesel sit for four months last year, only starting it occasionally and running it around the block. I've been paying the price ever since. "Running lumpy" is a great phrase. Also, seized brake calipers, rusty rotors, dead battery, and the failed speed sensor. Thankfully, my mechanic is not cruel. It's been getting more regular use since then.
