We’re burning this forest to bring it back. Together with our new partner Paskaia, we’re supporting Indigenous Miskito communities in Honduras, working to break that cycle. Local fire brigades patrol the land, build firebreaks and put out uncontrolled fires 🔥 But they also carry out controlled burns. Burning vegetation around protected areas removes fuel for future wildfires and can also help the pine forest regenerate by releasing seeds from its cones. 150,000 trees growing back 💚
