My Pixel 7 has been stuck on 4G on Belong for a few months. Not sure what happened to make that occur, but I thought I'd try to fix it. After screwing with settings, *#*#4636#*#* debug menus etc etc, I though "I know, I'll trash my SIM and switch over to an eSIM!" Well, the transfer went well and the eSIM came up. Except still 4G. Shit. I figured bugger it, I'll clear the eSIM out, reset all my carrier setting data then get a new one, just in case that clears it up. Except Belong needs to send you an SMS to confirm who you are to issue a new eSIM. And now I have no phone number. Oops. Rookie mistake. Luckily once I got through to their tech support web chat after 45 minutes and properly ID myself, they actually pretty quick to bypass the SMS requirement and issue a new eSIM - which now brings me back up in 5G. Sweet. Not sure what happened there, but the Pixel lives to fight another day.
