@amy0223 Does the student have other physical disabilities that prevent her from clipping her nails? I have hand spasticity and hypertonia in my legs, hips and feet that make it very hard for me to clip my toenails so they look even and nice. Since I enjoy wearing sandals it is important that my nails look neatly trimmed so I get a pedicure once a month to keep everything looking nice. So that could be an option. If there are no other disabilities present then absolutely she should be able to do it for herself and if she chooses not to then the mom can say something like ok then you need to work out a way to handle this yourself, you might think of getting a pedicure because these aren't anyone else's responsibility than yours. As for the groceries this is something the student should be doing. if there are other disabilities or life threatening food allergies then the student may consider something like instacart. The mother needs to establish some boundaries here. But skills training would also be a good idea. Because of my disabilities there are many things like clipping my nails or deep cleaning my house that I struggle to do, but that doesn't mean i expect others to do them for me without compensation. I pay for a cleaner and I pay for a pedicure because it is important to me that I be as independent as I can and the more tasks people do for me edit which they aren't compensated, the more they feel the have a right to an opinion about how I live my life.

@pawpower @amy0223 I can see it now. Her mother will still keep her drivers license up till she's about 90 and make the trip just to grocery shop for her by then senior citizen daughter and cut her nails. Lol

@pawpower No she does not. The mother has been paying for her to get monthly manicures and pedicures and cannot continue to do this; though her gas money might be about the same. It’s a mess. Daughter gets a med delivered on ice. It still goes to her house. I guess either they can’t change this or mom is doing it to do it. I just can’t help but wonder what will happen to this girl when her mother is gone. Nobody seems to think about stuff like this.
