@kernsac @baxaphobia @amy0223 I was almost ten also--must be a magical age or something. Dad and I were sitting at the kitchen table with his size 13 shoe, and all of a sudden I tied a perfect bow. He didn't seem surprised, but I sure was. Not being able to tie my shoes had upset me for a couple of years. I was always worried they would come untied, and I'd have to ask someone to tie it for me. I never had to do that, but it was a huge relief knowing I could tie my own shoes and other things that required a bow.

@Lynn @baxaphobia @amy0223 I could just never understand what to do after making the first loop and then wrapping the string around that loop. People would try to show me, but their hands would get in the way of my feeling what they were doing. The only thing I can think that happened was that I realized that when I wrapped the string around the first loop, it made another hole.

  • @Lynn @kernsac @baxaphobia @amy0223 Yeah, come to think of it, I was somewhere around 10 when I finally mastered it too, although now I’m lazy and just keep my shoes tied and slip them on and off. Lol.
