@psychicparrot42 This is a story I heard MANY years ago, it may be false or no longer valid ( but I think they still have them there ) "In Italian police/carabinieri stations they still use mechanical typewriters for certain docs". They claim is "for can't remember what reason" but THE RUMOUR was that "it's because they had huge contracts with Olivetti they wanted to keep going so they had to pay for typewriters maintenance" or such .. given Italy, "I can believe that" 😅
