@lizzy Frankly surprised that the loss32.org trick (running Wine as the primary environment) hasn't already been tried by some INFOSEC boffin or disgruntled LibreOffice contributor.

@lizzy both snap and flatpak fail, often in very unclear ways, somewhere in integration. I’m currently using Appimage where I must and can. And hoping/waiting for ports where I can’t.

@lizzy What other type of distribution would you like? I'm working on my first Linux GUI app and want to make it accessible. Always build able from source but that is not for everyone. Classic rpm deb file along flatpaks appimages all of it? Creating the flatpak was a nightmare but I managed XD

@lizzy@social.vlhl.dev meh, Flatpaks are handy for a number of reasons. The main gripe that I have about Flatpaks is that unverified software is pushed to the user just as readily as verified software
