This christmas there has been a sad death - a member of the band I've loved since 1987 to the exclusion of all others. Most sincere and heartfelt condolences to his friends and family. Selfishly, I fear that this is the beginning of the end, for me: the era of most cherished creative forces being no more. A slow fading of the things that broght light, the end of a world I understood, replaced by nonsense and fripperousness and shallowness. Yeah, I'm old now.
