@hugo This was also a major factor behind the opposition to universal healthcare. Once healthcare is no longer primarily tied to employment, employers lose major leverage for holding onto employees. There was tons of promises when the ACA was passed about how people could have more employment freedom or explore more entrepreneurial opportunities because they could get good healthcare outside of the employer plans.
