@linux_mclinuxface Oh, that's pretty soon. Someone underestimated how long it would take to convince people to change their regular shopping habits when they decided to invest big in multiple locations at once. Either that or they overestimated the demand for fancy groceries. I wonder what proportion of the people who would pay for those sorts of extras have already switched to delivery?

  • @AmeliasBrain @linux_mclinuxface I think it's probably just a really bad time to try to convince anyone of any income level that they should spend more on groceries. The sticker shock of 2022-24 or whatever is still pretty fresh.

    @AmeliasBrain @linux_mclinuxface I think it's just that there isn't a noticeable quality gap for the extra money. L'OCA and Freson Brothers are comparably expensive, opened around the same time about 10 blocks apart, in an area with lots of people who aren't terribly price-sensitive. One of them is always busy.

  • @AmeliasBrain shopping habits are very sticky. And yeah, 90% of our shopping is delivery.
