@bettina@mastodon.nu @leffe@social.linux.pizza I have used those methods too, especially on kids' phones. One issue is that you have to leave the bootloader unlocked with /e/OS, which is not secure. As second is that it's not entirely clear what is or what isn't happening with Google services on /e/OS; not technical enough to understand. My own phone is GrapheneOS atm.

And I don't think there is more risk of Murena allowing our data reported to Google than when you use the other method? Here, I'm not considering paid apps because it sounds like they use the same method as you? But I don't use paid apps so it's not relevant for me.
