And as a fellow AMAB who just hit 50 this year, I’d tell all y’all: don’t fear this checkup… the DRE is, in the words of my doctor, “a relic of the past”. Modern blood tests are far more accurate. If the blood test gives reason to worry they’ll schedule a detailed exam. And you should be getting a colonoscopy anyway! Which will apparently spot enlargement just as well.

@cabbey Thanks Chris. There's considerable debate/discussion in the UK about screening for prostate cancer, with all the potential for false positives from any of the approaches. I have opinions on this as you can probably imagine! Keep on living, dude 😎
