In Star Wars, Luke Skywalker prevails over the Emperor by rejecting violence and sacrificing his life to retain the freedom of his soul. But then he gets to eat and keep his cake, keeping his life, and his freedom, and getting rid of the Emperor because Vader chooses violence in his stead. So did the rejection of violence and the making of the sacrifice actually mean anything?🤔
