@ajlewis2 dumb q - you bought a phone from a mobile provider? Is it because they r often tied to them? I usually buy mine straight from the smartphone makers shop, like recently I bought mine from a Xiaomi shop. And sorry for your bad experience!! And yes I should write about it. I love reading people's use cases. I once used an LLM to reduce my insurance premiums by a few hundred. I also often use it to understand contracts.

@liztai Not really a dumb question. I was trying to buy a phone from my service provider because I wanted to be sure the phone was compatible with the prepaid service I use. They do seem to be tied to them and some won't work. I am not savvy enough to know which will work. I did get the help I needed on a phone call after 2 hours of online chat this morning. And the short story is that I bought a phone like the one I had selected from a local store with an online order. It will be delivered tomorrow. $60 instead of $90 that the original one I tried to buy cost. The last woman I talked to determined that was the best solution and she offered to call back when I went to the store to guide me in finding it. I thought that was super service, but I didn't feel I need that much help. She definitely made up for the bad experience with one very excellent experience of kindness.
