It always astounds me how much personal information people are prepared to share without prompting and without purpose, in public places and to complete strangers. Is it from a place of wanting to have human contact? Or is it about feeling self-conscious and as if the contact is an interruption, and an attempt to justify or defend that? I mean: I have a man's address, phone no., email, holiday destination, date & duration, and GP's name & practice.
