It would probably make a whole lot of sense to use nuclear power to smelt aluminum. There may be other materials that could be smelted if the energy was basically free not that nuclear is even like that. Any process that would benefit from continuous blazing output probably would be better with a plant like that.

@GhostOnTheHalfShell @notjustbikes I think I read something about smelters actually being great places to profit from being paid to reduce their power draw quickly. Yes suddenly turning off is terrible for them, but pausing for 30 minutes is fine.
