I'm sure some will think "I don't care how I attack this b—, she's a racist, all tactics are valid".
But I have to read these attacks. And I'm reminded of how I felt, in the face of the Bad Widow critique. Dehumanised. Judged. Quashed.
I'm asking again for everyone to just be normal about widows.

@Tattie thanks for this thread. it's stunning to realize how necessary it is to call out mistreatment of widows -- it's so widespread and so deeply ingrained in society. I had to learn this lesson the hard way, through uncharitable thoughts toward the widow of an old friend. the way she moved on wasn't mine to question or judge, but judge her I did. at some point I awoke from my idiotic slumber and realized how shitty I'd been. I still feel awful about it 15 years on.
