@quintessence@hachyderm.io The way I figure it, if you need _too_ much real estate, your setup is overly complicated and you should refactor. OTOH, if that's your _job_ (the Big Refactor), then make it look like Mission Control... :) I went from one, to two, to two-plus-laptop, back down to two... I think I'm sticking here, just because even not doing big complex things I multitask way too much. Although I could see a 49" singleton if I could get the webcam in the right place. (right now the gap between my twinned 24's is perfect for the webcam on the wee tripod, which puts the aperture (labs? ;) ) about half way up the screen... if somebody made a 49" with a wee midscreen webcam, I might lust after it.)

@quintessence@hachyderm.io I went from dual 27" 4K monitors to a single 34" ultrawide and it's SO much better. I can look at the important thing in the middle, right in front of my face. Massive quality of life and productivity improvement.

@quintessence@hachyderm.io in tech, working remote, career progression was having more disposable income and willing to spend it on work gear. My standing desk, two monitors, keyboard and track ball are self funded.
