@timrichards I"d like to see a law that you can't stand for election or be appointed into Senate vacancies if you are over 60. I'm older than that and have not observed the so called wisdom that comes with age. The median age of parliament should be the same as of the population generally, about 38 I think. #auspol

    @CaraBruar Judges in our local Supreme Court have to retire when they're 70, seems reasonable.

    @CaraBruar @timrichards I am dead against that. Why shouldn't older people be represented or do the representing? Yes, many people's faculties do decline as they age. But many others' do not. Assuming an older person is a dodderer is the worst kind of ageism.
