In today’s edition of Garbage Healthcare, I learned that if a medication is discussed during what you think is a preventive care visit, the provider then codes it as an office visit. So what you’re saying is 1) Big Healthcare keeps moving the goal posts; 2) you no longer know what topics are considered “routine” vs “non-preventive;” 3) don’t see a doctor yearly because it eats up time & money and actually adds stress, potentially taking a few months off your life. Cool cool cool

    I won my grievance against the health insurance company on this matter, so the bill amount was waived. My favorite, though, is that in the resolution letter, it cited the health matters discussed. That's called a medical history. ffs
