Big thanks to @Taweret for tonight's film - fairly classic Universal monster of the period. It's technically well done, but is a bit dry for modern tastes. I'd be curious to read a 1943 review of it. We had smoking (both cigarette and pipe) and, unexpectedly, coffee. Casual period racism. Two human deaths, two vampire deaths. Kay was a vamp by *both* definitions, a nice twist. Also a nice twist ending.
