@Cognessence @alisynthesis @thoker I am going to make a related, but somewhat adjacent point here: when you think about music recordings as snapshots in time, they are inextricably linked to the time of the recording and whenever they are being played and someone is listening.
However, the person who created the recording, their lived experiences morph and change over time - so the recording becomes a record of sorts for them and others of who they were...

@Cognessence @alisynthesis @thoker ...at the time of the recording, and if another recording/rework is made of that same track, it becomes another record of their lived experiences at a different time. When you build up enough music output, you are essentially creating a historical record, a heritage if you will, of you as a person connecting you deeply with that specific time and space, but also invariably with the present, whenever that music is played.
