@tphinney @TiroTypeworks @davidsudweeks @timahrens This discussion got me curious about the encoding of ellipsis as a single entity. I haven’t yet found any evidence of ellipsis cast as a single sort in foundry type, nor among Linotype or Monotype matrices. Plenty of two-dot leaders (cast on em). That seemed common. But not three-dot ellipsis. 🤔
