I need not so much to step away from doomscrolling as I need to find small joyful moments because those moments are fireflies in the dark.
So I am embracing the garden coming back , the frost being gone , and the peeper frogs singing their hearts out. I can’t help anyone from a place of despair.

@CatDragon@mastodon.world For me at least a modicum of joy comes with star gazing at night with my small telescopes, weather permitting. For that short time I focus on my youthful initiation into astronomy instead of the last disastrous year.
