So, my apartment complex has a deal with Spectrum, so we have some fancy set up here where I do not have my own router and the entire complex is basically one, giant LAN. As a result, I cannot portforward, but I would really like to self-host some of my own stuff, including a Nextcloud and game servers. Is it possible or would it be overly difficult to set up my own VLAN or a VPN or something that would get around the need for portforwarding to make these externally accessible?

@DaedalousEros@fedi.raccoonden.moe whew, I keep hearing about such shitty setups in Germany that's not the norm, the norm here is that every tenant has their own contract with an ISP, and can choose between different ISPs, and the ISP who owns the last mile is legally required to rent it out to any other ISP who wants to serve a customer at that location.
