Yes, people suffer and die in armed revolutions. But there are very few “peaceful” revolutions that have been successful in history. Even Ghandi needed to benefit from armed revolutionaries fighting the British in the background to be the more reasonable choice. MLK needed the Black Panthers openly carrying firearms to advance black rights. Until the populace is willing to die, nothing changes in a dictaorship. Sadly, the tree of liberty sometimes needs to be refreshed with the blood of patriots.

Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, probably Iran next all would love a word… Small arms win revolutions, not planes and bombs. On top of that, it’s not easy to find people willing to kill people who sound and look like you…and it’s even harder to do in a country where you’re neighbor leans right and you lean left. You think they’re going to use precision guided shit for a single home?
