ended up looking a little at the laura croft remaster collection... oh no it's got AI scaling on the textures and the cutscenes. you can turn it off to get the vintage crunchy graphics, but that's the default. and not only is it AI graphics scaling, it's _circa 2024_ AI graphics scaling. why... why did they _ship_ that? it doesn't look like high-end graphics, it looks like an amateur "high end" texture pack -- that is to say, like ass!
