Because it’s never about money. If we take each billionaire and distribute their wealth equally, I’ll be like $1000/person. It could be life changing for some, but in reality it won’t change much.

You can improve the comic by removing the labels on the peasants' shirts.

One of the first things Trump did his first term was gut the USDA's rural investment arm. Why? Because if his supporters were made poorer and more frustrated they would blame it on someone else and be more likely to turn out to vote. It worked. Probably doesn't help Fox didn't report on it.

Yeah the homeless are buying his ballroom, nametags for existing institutions, and his crypto scams

I guarantee you that it’s both the left and the right.

Parties who label themself as "left" and "right" always serve the rich class.

Child-raping president? Yeah I'll take division.

If one side wants people like me and my partner to die, I'm okay with dividing them away from me.

Go find an apoliticist community to post in, we don't want any apoliticists here.

thanks for sharing your thoughts, respectfully, I disagree, but I hope you have a great day regardless!
-
@bearboiblake@pawb.social 2026-03-16 05:38
you know you can just make your own community that bans political posts, or indeed, anything you don't like, right?
-
@Banana@sh.itjust.works 2026-03-16 13:38
Your complaining is more annoying than the post itself.

Hey friend it's a lot easier to not be shitty when someone disagrees with you, than to triple down on being shitty. Also: this comic doesn't even mention America, you added it yourself ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯

just so you know, I'm not actually american, lol
-
@Banana@sh.itjust.works 2026-03-16 14:19
Oh, don't get me wrong, I wouldn't do, or intend to do you any favours. If a country is gonna be fucking fascist, people are gonna "bitch" about it, because it's fucking fascist (I'm also not an american). Also if your posts were the top 10, thats clearly what people want to see, and if I didn't like it I'd go do something else because I have a life outside of the internet.

Normal people, who like politics. We like to watch political movies like Star Wars and read political books like A Song of Ice and Fire. We're the majority in every country and every culture.

> You must be confused, Lemmy is for the most part dead, Why are you here then? > Most people went back to reddit after realising this place was full of left wing weirdos Ah, rightoid trolling.

Well I think you'll find that in addition to politics, most people like progress. They want society to become better over time. Better technology, better culture, better art, better governance. Most people are progressives, at least in theory. Now, most of them don't act like they like progress, and they don't act like they like politics either, but they do. And if you can avoid triggering any thought terminating cliches and speak to them logically in language they understand, they'll tell you that they support socialism, environmentalism, queer rights, racial and gender equality, voting reform, and many other left wing policies. The trouble is just that they don't want to put any thought or effort into how society is going to achieve that. But they like it in theory.
