Even more relevant today than when the words were written by Franklin D. Roosevelt for his second inaugural address. I can't imagine such sentiments from the mind of Donald Trump...

@tompearce49@mastodon.scot are you sure it's a quote engraved on the Scottish Parliament building? I find it unlikely that a quote from an American president would be on the wall that mostly commemorates Scottish writing. I guess there's also a verse from Psalms, though. Not written by a Scot! https://www.parliament.scot/visit/events-and-exhibitions/canongate-wall Is the Roosevelt quote in a different part of the building than the Canongate Wall?
