My first DIY server computer cost overall was roughly $1300 with several used parts (I built most of it over a year ago but I abandoned it until today). It doesn't have ECC at all, even though the RAM is DDR5, but I got it for cheap before the shortages. I probably should've went with the Jonsbo N4 as that has better motherboard support, more drive space, and a nicer design, but I really wanted a small case from the start. I know little about ethernet in general since wireless is way too convenient for me, but I'll be learning about how most of it works soon.
