@1337core@chaos.social the entirely naturalistic "...oh, you're right!" is sickening. LLMs are not just bullshit generators, they are designed by their sociopathic creators to deceptively mimic good faith human interaction. I hope in future it'll be considered grossly immoral to cloak a statistical model in such a deceptive interface, for any purpose.

@1337core@chaos.social wobei ich mich frage, warum können LLMs das eigentlich so schlecht? Liegt das nur daran, dass diese LLMs keine ALUs benutzen und es keine Webseite gibt, die Tabellen mit Anzahl an Buchstaben zu Worten haben, das in den Trainingsdaten fehlte? Ansonsten stimme ich aber voll zu, dass es ein Unding ist, dass jetzt Techgiganten Rechen- und Speicherleistung horten.

@1337core@chaos.social The LLM sees a non existent connection between the sounds in the words (8 /eɪt/ and the names of the letters (A /eɪ/). Now imagine using this or other LLMs to vibe code something critical like flight systems or nuclear power plants.
