@mattcen@aus.social Why not read the labels? I am constantly getting complained at by my partner because some pack is smaller now, or larger or whatever. But the supermarket provides a) the exact amount in each pack and b) the price per 100g. You know exactly what you are getting. If you buy based on fleeting glances and assumptions, then yes, you are ripping yourself off. And yes, it is irritating that marketers take advantage of that bevaviour. But a complete solution, and a very simple one, is right there - in your own hands!

@mattcen@aus.social the only thing that makes this worse is when they sell one per hundred grams and one per kilo. 100% agree, shitty behaviour.
