@kev@fosstodon.org Crazy. Wordpress has become too much of a behemoth. It’s way too heavy and insecure. Overly complicated for any casual user, and expensive if you don’t want to show ads and have your own domain name. I’m using Micro.blog and I find it perfect for casual blogging. It’s very similar to your own blogging platform and I only pay $1 a month. And it’s secure and easy to use.

    @dfgomes@mastodon.social yeah, Micro.blog is a really good service. I used it myself for a while. I do think the perception that WordPress in inherently insecure is unfair though. Core WP is actually very secure - they have a really talented security team over there. It's the plugin ecosystem that add the vulnerabilities usually.
