People are very worried that "Open"-AI is no more a non-profit company.
Looking at their business numbers, they are still non-profit and will be for a long time.

@thbley@phpc.social i wish people would look more at tech startup companies all together. like discord for example continues to seek investments. if they were actually making money, that would not be a thing. openai will make no profit just like every other tech bro company. they will continue to use clever accounting and seek investments until the economy is so bad middle class can't even afford a loaf of bread.
