Do you know about “Universal Greeting Time”? &gt; UGT is convention that it is always morning when person comes into a channel, and it is always late night when person leaves. Local time of any member of channel is irrelevant 😆 🔗 http://www.theilya.com/mips/ugt.html

@amapanda@en.osm.town I do this at work, the first time I see someone in a day I will always greet them with good morning, no matter what time it is, it has caused a lot of smiles.

@amapanda@en.osm.town We used to use this on our university IRC channels. We were all in the UK but being tech students in the early 2000's we were each on our own individual timezones anyway.
